Calling in the Coyote Hunting

coyote calling and hunting is in full swing . we are seeing alot of coyotes this year with healthy pelts and they are hungry for rabbits that seems to be the best call to use to bring them close . this young yote was shot at 20 yrds with my 5mm mag. there were 2 more coming in that stayed out range for our rimfire rifles.

Wild Hog Hunting

Went wild hog hunting last weekend near Kenton, OK. This is one of the two boars shot by us. Robert and I both killed one. About 10 minutes after we got there we saw the two and killed them both. We had a fun time cutting him up once we got home. I am looking forward to doing it again this weekend.

We also did some coyote calling. Planning on doing that again this weekend too.

Prairie Dog Hunting

We had a great prairie dog hunt last weekend. The severe drought that Cimarron County is in has not stopped any prairie dog hunting.

The dogs are thick.

Prairie dog and rabbit hunting are great ways to introduce kids to the shooting sports.

Jody killed this antelope last Sunday at about 2:30. Jody shot her at 350 yards with a 22o swift. It is getting icy here but not to bad. Hope you are staying warm and come kill some birds with me.

Well, we went pheasant hunting and the birds are here. I hope this is the start of a good season. We had a large hatch of birds this year of roosters and hens. We are working on a house in Keyes, OK. It will be a fully furnished two bedroom house. Hopefully it will ready to rent very soon. Please give us a call if you would like to rent it. Prairie Dog/Coyote hunting

Had some friends come and go prairie dog hunting,

coyote calling, and antelope scouting. A couple of weeks ago. Grant will be back soon to get a antelope. I just got a new predator digital call for my Birthday, thanks mom, dad, Bette and Darus. Come go hunting and well use my new call.

Antelope Tags

Both of my parents and in-laws received antelope tags this year. My father-in-law is looking forward to using his this year and I am going to use my mother-in-laws. I will be guiding the two hunters who bought my parent's tags. Although my wife doesn't like me talking about it but, dove season is about here. Anyone wanting to come dove hunting please let me know.

Fishing in Red River

We just got home from our vacation in Red River, NM with Jody's brother Dusty and his wife Jennifer as well as our good friends Rick with his kids and Hoss. The Red River was a little murky because of all the rain. They have had about 4 mud sides in the last week. Only 1 while we were there. We all had a great time and Dusty and Jody caught several fish. Dusty caught more and we grilled them Saturday night. They tasted great!! Dusty put butter and lemon salt in them, wrapped them in foil, and grill them outside. The skin just pealed off and and the meat just fell off the bone. You still had to watch out for the little bones. It rained each night and was so beautiful.

Menorial Day Hunt!

Jody is at the left with Gadge on the bench, Paul in the center, and Kenny at the right. We hunted for two days and shot a lot of prairie dogs. Kenny and Paul were nice enough to bring Gadge a new 22 cal. Cricket (top picture). He loves his gun and always wants to go hunting with his Dad.
